Director of Global Product Stewardship, BD
Ivan Welvaert is the Director of Global Product Stewardship (Office of Sustainability) at BD and is based in Belgium. He comes with a long Informatics, Process and Procurement experience and moved into his current role about 9 years ago, starting with the establishment of the BD REACH program by working closely with global Business Units to structure and collect all required information to meet BD’s REACH compliance requirements. The Product Stewardship function was created in the Office of Global Sustainability to coordinate the programs, processes and IT systems to comply with global environmental legislations such as REACH, RoHS & Conflict Minerals. His team is also accountable to collaborate with BD’s supply base collecting chemicals data to feed into BD’s chemicals management system to meet BD’s compliance obligations and respond the Customer requests for chemical information
